We, the NGO "Social Unity", are always thinking about how to improve our lives and the lives of deaf and hard of hearing people. We have been working hard for you, and finally today we will surprise you with updates to the Translator SL app.
What we have done for you?
We have created your digital, personalised ID card called DEAF ID in the mobile application ‘Translator SL’.
DEAF ID is your unique electronic identity card as a deaf person, it will give you many benefits and make your life much easier.
From now on, if you have a DEAF ID, you can:
- SL translators will be able to call you, and you can receive a call from a translator in the Translator SL app. This is convenient if the person who is speaking calls the translators, and the translators, in turn, call you to pass on the message from that person.
- If the interpreter was unable to reach you, we will send you a video message, you will see a notification about it, and when you click on the notification, you will see a video in sign language.
This is useful in many different situations when you need a hearing person to communicate with you through a sign language interpreter. For example, you have called the police and the police cannot find you on the spot. Or a doctor wants to tell you the results of a medical examination, or a service station wants to talk to you about your car's repair, and in many other different cases. - With DEAF ID, you will automatically receive discounts and bonuses from our partners, such as shops, service stations, etc..
- Your DEAF ID has a Ukrainian version and an English version automatically. When travelling abroad, you can show the English version and get discounts on entry to parks, museums, and other places of entertainment you want to visit.
