The week of September 18-24, 2023 was particularly active in our social media. Joint events were held by the Social Unity NGO and Foxtrot retail chain to mark the International Deaf Week.
We are grateful to Foxtrot for joining the important and long-term work that we have undertaken together. People with hearing impairment now have the opportunity to buy equipment, gadgets and other useful things "barriers-free" in 10 Foxtrot stores in different cities of Ukraine – Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Odesa, Vinnytsia.
Foxtrot's loyalty program, which allows deaf people to receive personalized discounts, is gaining momentum. And this week was also a great opportunity to inform the deaf and hard of hearing community about accessibility spots where they can freely and easily choose appliances and household goods with the possibility of involving a sign language interpreter in communication with a store consultant.
The community of people with hearing impairments actively joined the events we held on the NGO's Instagram. During the week, we shared the story of Foxtrot, where the first store of the chain was opened, and told more about the loyalty program for deaf visitors. And to test the "assimilation of knowledge", we held interesting quizzes. 4 days – 4 questions and a chance to win 4 pillows and certificates.
But the biggest surge of activity occurred at the end of the week. No wonder! The desire to win the main prize – a smartphone – was unbridled.
- On September 23, we held a prize draw, including: 4 packages of services in Translator SL with free minutes, 4 certificates, a pillow, a power bank, a kettle and the smartphone as the main prize.
- The gifts will be sent to the winners very soon.
- We are sincerely grateful to the Foxtrot team for supporting the initiative to create barrier-free communication for Ukrainians, who speaks sign language.
