For more than 8 years non-governmental organization «PUBLIC MOVEMENT «SOCIAL UNITY» have taken care of the problems of Ukrainians with various form of disabilities.

In cooperation with the ministries, more than 10 large-scale projects and programs of the National level in Ukraine have been implemented in the last 2 years. Russia's military aggression against Ukraine has been a difficult test for each of us. However, especially vulnerable in this situation are people with various forms of disability, who in a peaceful life were in very difficult life circumstances.

Key activities during the war in Ukraine:

• Assistance in group evacuation from settlements where fighting takes place.
• Organization and evacuation of women with children and elderly people.
• Providing temporary shelter (housing and food).
• Humanitarian aid for people in need.
• Information support (all information is duplicated in sign language and audio description for the free perception of content by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and people with complete or partial loss of vision).
• Counseling and psychological support.
• Accompanying people with disabilities who have evacuated to European countries, in partnership with local organizations and institutions.
