Excursion to the Lviv Academic Regional Puppet Theatre

Excursion to the Lviv Academic Regional Puppet Theatre

At the initiative of the NGO "Public Movement "Social Unity" was organised a trip to one of the most charming corners of Lviv – the Lviv Academic Regional Puppet Theatre. This building was originally constructed as the Chamber of Craftsmen, and since 1947 it has become a cultural centre.

A group of deaf people learned about the history of the building, the theatre itself, and the lives and work of its founders.

It was especially interesting to get to know the stage and backstage of the theatre. It was a unique opportunity not only to see different types of puppets, but also to learn about the techniques of working with them. The opportunity of trying control the puppets left the greatest impression. This is an art that requires great skill and practice.

An interesting discovery was that puppet theatre is not just entertainment for children. The theatre's repertoire includes performances for an adult audience, which makes this art form universal and attractive to viewers of all ages.

This unusual journey brought many new and exciting experiences. Visitors were able to look behind the scenes of the theatre, feel the magic of creating a performance and understand how much work and talent goes into each production.

We are grateful for the emotions experienced in a place where fairy tales come to life, where creativity has no boundaries, and where everyone, regardless of age, can find something for themselves!
