The team of the NGO "Social Movement" Social Unity" took part in a competition announced by the Foundation for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities. In August 2020, 5 projects were written and submitted on various topics:
- the creation of motivational videos,
- protection of women's rights (actually, taking measures to ensure the improvement and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities in Ukraine),
- the creation of conditions for social adaptation of people with hearing impairments within the framework of the program "Barrier-free Ukraine for the deaf" in social pharmacies,
- the creation of conditions for social adaptation of people with hearing impairments within the framework of the program "Barrier-free Ukraine for the deaf" in the centers of administrative services,
-implementation of a charitable pilot project for the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to introduce sign language translation in the National Police of Ukraine to provide legal assistance and prompt clarifications to people with hearing impairments about their rights and responsibilities in specific legal situations in Ukraine, creating appropriate videos.
Yesterday, September 16, there was an open online defense of projects before a commission of 13 people.
Anton Gulidin, Secretary of the Social Movement Public Movement, presented the projects.
We are also preparing to implement our charitable pilot project for the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to introduce sign language translation in the National Police of Ukraine to provide legal assistance and prompt clarifications to people with hearing impairments about their rights and responsibilities in specific legal situations in Ukraine, creating relevant videos.
