On July 29, 2026, in Kyiv there will be a presentation of Ukraine’s first printed book featuring sign language.
The book is designed to support the development of children with hearing impairments aged 5–12.
If a child has used only sign language since birth, they can only imagine the adventures of the characters described in the printed text. The integration of sign language opens up a whole new reading experience for children with hearing impairments.
Thanks to the adaptation of the story’s text and the video translation into sign language, the book’s characters come to life and communicate emotionally with the reader.
We therefore invite families with deaf children, representatives of educational institutions that promote inclusive education, as well as government officials and media representatives to join us for this event.
