Happy National Flag Day, Ukraine!
August 23 is an official holiday that was introduced in 2004 to honor the blue and yellow flag as the national symbol of Ukraine.
Once again, we note that the war waged by Russia against our country has led to the enormous popularity of Ukrainian symbols. No event in the world in support of our country is complete without blue and yellow colors.
We have a rich history, so there are different versions of which color should be at the bottom and which should be at the top. Hence, the symbolism of colors has several meanings: water or sky, sun or wheat fields.
Although there is no precise interpretation of the blue and yellow colors on the Ukrainian flag, we understand that it represents the best: freedom, honoring nature, and invincible will.
The national flag is hung on government buildings, military units, educational institutions and many other institutions because it is the starting point of conscious patriotism and understanding of the values of the state.
May our flag continue to unite Ukrainians and inspire us to courage and patriotism.
