On October 27, a meeting of the Council of Barrier-Free chaired by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Chernyshov took place. Anton Gulidin, the Secretary of Public Movement "Social Unity", took part in the event as a member of the Council of Barrier Free and as an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The meeting presented the results of the execution of the action plan for the implementation of the National Strategy for creating barrier-free space in Ukraine until 2030 for the third quarter of 2021, which was developed at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska and the Presidential Decree.
Representatives of key state ministries acquainted the audience with the state of implementation of flagship projects. During the meeting, the communication strategy for the implementation of the National Barrier-Free Strategy was discussed, as well as the presentation of the project of First Lady Olena Zelenska "The Barrier-free Handbook".
The importance and power of the event are evidenced by the presence of important statesmen.

The event is extremely powerful, as it has shown that in a very short period of time, important steps have been taken in Ukraine on the path to accessibility. As the initiator of the idea of barrier-free and an active participant in the reform process, the team of the NGO Public Movement "Social Unity" notes that much has been done so far to make barrier-free space in Ukraine an objective reality.
The participants of the meeting outlined the next plans for the next steps to introduce accessibility in all spheres of public life, so that every citizen of Ukraine, without barriers and restrictions, feels comfortable in their country and has the opportunity to succeed.
By the way, 15 ministries, 47 non-governmental organizations, and analytical centers were involved in the creation of the action plan for the implementation of the National Barrier-Free Strategy, from which more than 250 proposals were received. The Plan includes the work of the team of the NGO Public Movement "Social Unity".
