The Non-governmental organization "Public movement "Social unity" started cooperation with the Non-governmental organization "SHTUKA" (formerly "Ideas Workshop"). Joint activities are aimed at education, the spread of the volunteer movement in small and large communities, and the expansion of cooperation between young people throughout the country.
SHTUKA NGO is registered in the Donetsk region, and engaged in social activities in the communities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions through cultural products and direct action campaigns targeting the young audience (14-35 years old) audience prior to russia full-scale invasion.
Strategic directions of the NGO "SHTUKA" that contribute to the development of Ukraine and achieving organization's ambitions:
- Strengthening communities through direct action campaigns. Within the scope of these actions, interaction is expected directly with local activists and communities, namely: hackathons, volunteer camps, residences, etc.
- Education. Support for activists, volunteers, cultural figures through the development of the media ecosystem and education, as well as art evenings, art exhibitions, documentary content.
- Humanitarian aid. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, 70% of the organization's activities are aimed at delivering humanitarian aid (food, hygiene products, medicines, clothing, and energy sources) to communities in the Donetsk region for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the city of Myrnograd/Pokrovsk and for residents of communities directly affected by the conflict.
Within the framework of cooperation, the following was implemented:
- Training in tactical medicine in Lviv. We, the NGO "Social Unity", acted as advisors and provided the translation of the event into SL.
