The Memorandum of Partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was signed by the non-governmental organization Public Movement "Social Unity". "One of the key aspects of health care reform is not only the high level but also the availability of medical services. Recipients of medical care have equal rights, and therefore, the initiative to introduce barrier-free access to health care facilities, consultations of doctors and medical professionals is extremely important and relevant," said Iryna Sadovyak at a press conference devoted to the topic of barrier-free life.

Pilot project - a widget for communication with a sign language interpreter in the information section related to all aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic
A web widget was installed on the institution’s website, including the page related to the COVID-19 pandemic; it allows Ukrainians with hearing impairments to contact the Ministry's staff in a hotline mode day and night, and with the help of sign language interpreters promptly address issues related to the specifics of coronavirus treatment, the procedure for vaccination against coronavirus disease, relevant and important news related to the zoning of Ukraine depending on the epidemiological situation and other issues. This technological possibility greatly simplifies communication and access to information for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people.
