The non-governmental organization Public Movement “Social Unity” signed a Memorandum of Partnership with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. Creating a social environment of equal opportunities for people with various forms of disabilities is one of the high-priority activities of the Ministry of Social Policy. Together with the Public Movement “Social Unity” the Ministry of Social Policy has started implementing projects that take into account the needs of people with hearing impairments, as well as taking specific actions to employ people with different types of disabilities.
Projects implemented within the framework of cooperation:
Hotline for appeals and consultations for people with disabilities, adapted for the needs of people with hearing impairments
It is a joint project of the Ministry of Social Policy and the non-governmental organization Public Movement “Social Unity” with the support of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The project implies full accompaniment to appeals of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to the government hotline, i.e. a comprehensive response to the request and its adaptation to sign language.
A special web widget has been installed on the site, using which a sign language interpreter connects to the dialog. The user of the website can, with the help of a sign language interpreter, get answers to the most common questions, clarify details about incomprehensible content on the site, leave a request to the Ministry of Social Affairs and get an answer in clear language, that is sign language.
Pilot project "work vilno!" as a part of the national social portal “VILNO!”
Together with the project of the Council of Europe "Development of Social Human Rights as a Key Factor of Sustainable Democracy in Ukraine" the Ministry of Social Policy supported the non-governmental organization Public Movement “Social Unity" and launched a joint project "Work VILNO!".
This project will allow people with various forms of disabilities to publish resumes on the website and find relevant vacancies that correspond not only to their experience, abilities, and desires but also to the peculiarities of health.
This project also attracts socially responsible employers ready to hire, creating the necessary conditions for people with various forms of disabilities.
4 projects will be implemented by the end of 2021 with the support of the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine:

In March 2022, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine joined the Volunteer Call Center project and the following tasks are being implemented in cooperation with the team of the NGO Public Movement "Social Unity":
- Addressing the food needs, including baby food, drinking water and its delivery to destinations.
- Provision of clothing and footwear, basic necessities, hygiene products and their delivery to destinations.
- Provision of medicines, including immunobiological drugs (vaccines), medical devices, aids to them, medical equipment and their delivery to destinations.
- Evacuation / transport / relocation of civilians from the area of fighting and from dangerous areas to safe places.
- Development of the humanitarian centers - delivery of humanitarian goods to Ukraine, unloading, redistribution, transportation of humanitarian goods from the cities of Lviv, Bratslav, Vinnytsia to regions with an urgent need for help.
- Organizing the accommodation of citizens who have left their place of residence / stay (displaced persons) in connection with the fighting.
