How much to withdraw and how to save money during the war

A financial analyst explained how to handle money during the war. Now it is important to know how much cash and in what case you need to withdraw, and how to store it.

What is known

Financial analyst Alexei Luponosov recommends withdrawing as much cash as the bank limit allows. At the same time, you should consider whether it is possible to pay by bank card in your region, writes “Today".

"This is especially true for frontline zones. People really need to withdraw cash in frontline cities. Because if you have it in your pocket, you can at least buy something,” says the expert.

Otherwise, or if you are going to leave the country, it is better to keep the money on a bank card. In addition, due to a large number of immigrants from Ukraine, the amount of hryvnia abroad has increased. For example, there are already problems with the oversaturation of the hryvnia in Poland. If this situation continues, exchange offices will not be able to exchange currency for Ukrainian refugees.

"There is already too much of our currency in Poland, Slovakia. They already say: we don't need that hryvnia! So it will be extremely difficult to change it to the currency of the country you came to. It will be easier for you with a bank card – both to pay and to convert currency," said Oleksiy Luponosov.
