We are happy to share some inspiring news! Ukraine's national football team among players with hearing impairments has achieved significant success by winning the 2023 World Cup in Malaysia.

There were 19 teams in the tournament.
First, there were group games. Ukraine was in Group B, where it defeated Thailand 6-0. A great result, right? The Ukrainian team drew with Senegal, but defeated Argentina with a score of 0:5.
Next came the playoffs, the decisive stage of the tournament that determines the strongest team through elimination matches between the best teams in the group round.
In the playoffs, the Ukrainians defeated Nigeria and Iran. Meeting again in the semifinals with Senegal, the Ukrainians drew in regular time, but then a penalty shootout followed. This is an additional part in which the winner is determined if the teams finish the match with the same number of goals scored. Still, after the penalty shootout, Ukraine defeated Senegal with a score of 8-7.
In the final, Ukrainian players met Japan and won with a score of 2:1.
This is the first victory of the Ukrainian team at the World Cup. Previously, the highest result was 3rd place in 2012.
Therefore, we can state that this victory at the World Cup is a significant achievement for the Ukrainian team and an important event for Ukrainian sports.
