This is a special holiday that inspires Ukrainians to strive for victory. After all, there is nothing more precious than your native land, the right to live and create in your country and for your country.
August 24, 1991 is a fateful date. For the first time in many centuries, our people were given the opportunity to build our own sovereign state after the adoption of the Act of Independence of Ukraine.
The declaration of independence opened a new page in the history of Ukraine. We chose the path of democracy, freedom and European integration. We chose it then, and we are fighting for it now.
Today we continue to defend our independence. And this is inspiring because it shows that Ukrainians deserve to live a free life because they cannot do otherwise.
On this festive day, we wish us unity and cohesion, peace and prosperity. Together we will overcome difficulties and build a successful Ukraine!
