Sign language interpretation by the NGO "Social Unity" at the Frontera Festival

We are pleased to share some great news.

Our non-governmental organization has become a partner of the V International Literary Festival "Frontera", which will be held on August 2-3, 2025 in Lutsk.

This is another step towards building an inclusive society where culture, art and literature are accessible to people with hearing impairments, and not for the first time.

Our role at the Frontera Festival

Within the framework of the partnership, our organization will provide sign language interpretation of the festival's key events so that participants and guests with hearing impairments can fully perceive the authors' speeches, public discussions, readings and other events of the festival.

The performances of the artists will gain a new dimension thanks to the sign language interpreters of our organization, because sign language is a lively, expressive, equal language that unites people in a common cultural space.

Why is it important?

People with hearing impairments often stay away from cultural processes, not because they are not interested, but because communication barriers create a sense of exclusion.
We support inclusive events and show that change is possible where there is a common will and responsibility.

We thank the organizers of Frontera for not only creating a powerful literary program, but also for taking care of the accessibility and visibility of all members of society.

See you at Frontera!
