Tips for protecting your own rights:
- It is extremely important to know and assert your rights as a consumer. This will help you avoid unlawful actions by manufacturers, sellers or service providers and protect your legitimate interests.
- To exercise the rights, consumers must use all legal means of protection. In case of violation, it is recommended to file a complaint in writing to the seller, manufacturer or service provider. If the violation is not remedied, a complaint should be filed with the State Consumer Service or a court.
The State Consumer Service is engaged in state supervision and control over compliance with consumer protection legislation, considers consumer complaints, conducts product examinations and imposes sanctions on violators.

The birth of Consumers' Day
The history of Consumer Protection Day dates back to a speech by U.S. President John F. Kennedy on March 15, 1962. In his speech, he first publicly voiced the concept of consumer protection and formulated the basic rights that should be guaranteed to all consumers.
Kennedy's speech was the impetus for the creation of national consumer protection laws and organizations in many countries around the world.
Remember: consumer protection is not just a matter for individuals. It is the business of the whole society.
March 15 is not only a day of celebration, but also a day when we can once again remind ourselves of the importance of consumer protection and that each of us has the right to safe, high-quality and affordable products and services.
